Comprende reperti del periodo etrusco (materiale fittile rinvenuto nel castell), del periodo romano (statua raffigurante divinità femminile), del periodo medievale (vasellame di produzione locale) e del periodo rinascimentale (vasellame e frammenti architettonici). Di rilievo i 98 stemmi in terracotta invetriata, in pietra tufacea e marmo, alcuni dei quali sono attribuiti ai Della Robbia.

Documenta la storia del territorio a partire dai ritrovamenti fossili (ossa di balena) alla storia religiosa (dipinti e documentazione)e civile (frammenti della distrutta rocca), fino alla produzione ceramica e artistica locale del XIX – XX secolo.
Inoltre vari reperti etruschi e romani in terracotta e metallo.

La collezione museale si compone di attrezzi e macchinari per la coltivazione dei campi, per la produzione del vino e dell’olio, per la conservazione delle sementi, per le produzioni artigianali e per la lavanderia. I reperti sono esposti in locali sotterranei o seminterrati, disposti su vari livelli, precedentemente adibiti a cantina, frantoio e granaio. Si segnalano, in particolare, un tino a cielo aperto in muratura del 1789, un tino vetrificato del 1886 e una pressa da frantoio risalente al 1444, ricostruita nel 1888. Anche libri devozionali e arredi sacri.

The museum collection consists of tools and machinery for the cultivation of fields, for the production of wine and oil, for the conservation of seeds, for handicraft production and for the laundry. La collezione di attrezzi da miniera è costituita da strumenti in dotazione ai minatori, soprattutto nei secoli XIX e XX, anche se non mancano testimonianze più antiche. In particolare comprende utensili da scavo a mano e a motore, esplosivi e dotazioni da polveriera, oggetti per illuminazione, maschere, elmetti e borracce, reagenti chimici e strumenti per il riconoscimento del materiale estratto. Ne fa parte anche una raccolta geo-paleontologica e una collezione mineralogica che presenta numerose varietà di minerali rinvenuti in Toscana, molti dei quali rari. Le collezioni sono esposte in tre sale, mentre nel giardino sono collocati i macchinari di grandi dimensioni.
