Torre_di_Baroncoli-calenzanoUnfinished building, built by Carlo Ginori Old (1473-1527) as a rural residence. Given the characteristics of the building may have been designed by Baccio d’Agnolo, who for the Ginori family held numerous jobs. According to other sources instead, Tower or Tower Baroncoli Digerini Nuti-most likely in the beginning belonged to the family Sommaia, while in the land area of 1427, the building appears to be Francesco di Ser Piero di Gino, one of the founders of the family Ginori. The building was owned by the family-Digerini Nuti as part of a dowry, and in 1913 was declared of great artistic value as seen from the images is partially trapped by the scaffolding. PIEVE SAN DONATOPARISH SAN DONATO

I grandi taxodium, che costituiscono la presenza vegetale più spettacolare, vennero impiantati probabilmente all’inizio del secolo, mentre i tigli, i platani e gli ippocastani, che delimitando i principali vialetti, sono di più antica collocazione, certamente ottocentesca.parcodelneto-calenzanoWith an area of about 7 hectares, despite being placed in a highly urbanized area, the park has preserved those characteristics, once general throughout the flat, wet area of the wreck of a larger lake system that is the natural valve outburst flood of the Arno. The area of Neto is survived thanks to the unique location, close to the first foothills of Monte Morello, that has led its transformation from marshland to a romantic garden villas. Among the owners can remember Hilary Ronillo Marquis de Boissy, a peer of France and a senator of the Napoleonic Empire, Count Ignazio Guiccioli, husband of the Countess Teresa Gamba and the poet Lord Byron. The park Neto has a wide variety of tree species. Large Taxodium, which are the most spectacular plant presence, they were probably planted at the beginning of the century, while the lime trees, plane trees and chestnut trees which surround the main paths, are more ancient place, certainly the nineteenth century.

CASTELLOCASTLE
